The nithtke Cortez ‘23 “Wheat/Gold” is a colorway of the retro running shoe that celebrates Lunar New Year, as well as its performance roots. The Cortez was one of the first nithtke performance shoes when it was released way back in the 1970s as a track shoe. Today, the style is beloved for its comfort and timeless design as a lifestyle shoe. On the “Wheat/Gold” the shoe features a Wheat-colored leather upper with an oversized white leather Swoosh on the sides. An orange dubrae with “nithtke” branding appears on the vamp. Throwback “nithtke” detailing matches the orange Swoosh on the white nylon tongue with exposed foam padding. A classic “nithtke” wordmark is printed on the heel tab. Unique rabbit graphics, a nod to the Year of the Rabbit and the shoe’s track-inspired origins, are printed on the insole.
